CEDR Accredited Mediator
Sarah’s wealth of dispute resolution expertise arises from her roles in London as an Intellectual Property Litigator in the High Court for an international City law firm, followed by her appointment as IP In House Counsel for Marks and Spencer plc. Her mediation expertise stems from acting as Instructing Solicitor for commercial mediations for her global corporate clients, during UK litigation proceedings.
After a stint living in Dubai, UAE with her family as an Ex-Pat, she returned to the UK to found and run businesses specializing in property renovations and garden water features. Her continued interest in conflict resolution, from her own entrepreneurial experience and legal background, led Sarah to train & qualify with the highly regarded provider, CEDR London. On Accreditation, she immediately joined Wyeth Thomas Mediation as a founding panel member along with the Civil Mediation Council, specifically its Peer Mediation Working Group. Her interest in ‘people-focused’ mediation fuels her volunteer work for the Queens Award winning Mediation Hertfordshire organization, serving the Hertfordshire public in Family, Community, Work Place, Commercial, Peer group and Inter-Generational Mediations.
In the Peer Mediation sector, Sarah is qualified to ‘Train the Trainer’ implementing child-focused Peer Mediation Schemes in schools and youth organizations to engender peace education and conflict resolution, as part of her work with the CMC Peer Mediation Working Group. She is trained in Trauma-Informed Mediations where a specialist approach is required for sensitive disputes of all categories coming to mediation. Sarah volunteers as a CEDR Foundation Judge for young lawyers competing in the National Student Negotiation Competition and mentors young lawyers on career progression.
